“SEA-Inside: Pacific Northwest” by Still Hope Productions, Inc.
a bi-monthly series featuring the amazing and often extraterrestrial looking creatures that live under the surface of Pacific Northwest waters. In video magazine format, each episode offers a collection of short videos filmed mainly underwater.
The purpose of this series is to help people get to know their underwater neighbors and see unusual behavior in the critters’ natural habitat, to inspire marine stewardship, and to offer 30 minutes of relief from the normal pull of gravity. There is a mixture of nature, music, science, art, and even poetry. For variety an occasional short video from tropical waters is included. To deepen the experience, the associated web site offers supporting information about the critters and issues in the shows.
“SEA-Inside: Pacific Northwest” is a non-profit project by Still Hope Productions, Inc. in association with Northwest Film Forum of Seattle.
Episodes typically run between 25 and 28 minutes and are available on DVD to community stations for $10 per episode to offset costs. The complete set of six episodes from 2006 is available for a tax-deductible donation of $50 or more. If the cost is an issue, contact us and we’ll help find a sponsorship to cover the costs.

Education News Parents Can Use US Department of Education
THE SERIES: September 2002 marks the beginning of the first full school year under the No Child Left Behind Act and signifies the start of a historic, new era in education. To help parents understand the new law and all the important changes it will bring, the U.S. Department of Education is launching a new monthly television series entitled Education News Parents Can Use.
THE FORMAT: The new program takes the place of the Department’s Satellite Town Meeting and will keep many of its predecessor’s signature features-the live format, viewer call-ins, and lively discussion. What is different about Education News is its focus on information and resources of value to parents and families. The program features brief segments, including one-on-one interviews, “how-to” demonstrations, more video and graphics, and brief conversations with parents, educators, community, business and religious leaders, and education experts.
THE SCHEDULE… On the third Tuesday of each month during the school year, Education News provides parents with the tools and information they need to be effectively involved in their children’s learning. This is your opportunity to ask a question of participants — drawn from communities like yours — on what works to improve teaching and learning in schools and in the home.

You can register for the entire season at one time by selecting the “SERIES REGISTRATION” button at the top of the web page. Education News Parents Can Use
US Department of Education
NOTE: REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for a new series and/or season regardless of prior seasons’ registrations. You can register for the entire season at one time by selecting the “SERIES REGISTRATION” button at the top of the web page.
